I went into the showroom a few weeks ago to buy a anniversary necklace for my wife. Like most people during these hard times I had a strict budget to work from. I went to Dallas gold and silver without any knowledge of Diamonds. I walked out with a little more knowledge and a beautiful ring for my wife. I was shopping for the perfect gift for my fiancee. I had looked everywhere for the perfect sapphire pendant, and found a whole bunch of garbage.
Then I went to DGSE. Their selection is fantastic. They have everything you could possibly want, and a lot of stuff you didn't even know you wanted. I got a great deal on a used Omega watch on another trip.
Of course, I am super picky, and didn't like any of the pendants they had either. So my salesperson asked if I wanted to look at the sapphire rings, to get a general idea of what I wanted.
In the ring section, I found the PERFECT design. Except it was yellow gold, and I wanted white gold. My salesman went into the back and spoke with a jeweler for a few minutes. He came back out and said No Problem.
I of course was confused. What do you mean no problem. He told me he could turn the ring into a pendant, and plate it with white gold. Being a pendant, we wouldnt have to worry about losing the white gold.
An HOUR later, I had the PERFECT gift for my fiancee. I was so excited, I couldn't wait to give it to her. And she has loved showing it to everyone, and bragging to all her friends that I had it made for her.
Seriously guys, DGSE is the place to go.
PROS: Great selection, great prices, great service.
