Terrible experience. Would give negative stars if I could.
They seriously low-balled their estimate, then upped the price at the last minute AFTER loading all my stuff in the truck. This was also after they showed up 6 hours later than scheduled, which meant that customer service was unavailable by phone to complain. They repeatedly told me by phone that any additional charges would be based on if the WEIGHT of my move went over the quoted amount and that this would be determined by comparison of DOT weigh-station documents for the moving truck empty vs. full. I was later told that additional charges would be based on volume, and since loaded stuff measured more than they anticipated, I owed and additional $700 -- that's a 24% last-minute up-charge!!! Oh, and they demand that move-day extra charges be paid by cash or money order, so you have NO recourse (can't do charge back or stop check).
When I was FINALLY called back after two weeks of leaving messages, the person who called me back said he was the owner, though the name he gave is NOT the name listed with the Better Business Bureau as the company owner. In any case, this person was EXTRAORDINARILY rude. He would ask me a question, I would answer, and a few words into my answer he would interrupt me. He talked over me on several occasions, he yelled at me repeatedly, and even used profanity when I would not give in to his brow-beating.
Ironically, when he was using the profanity, it was to call me a f-ing liar, which is exactly what he was. He insisted that I was given a revised estimate PRIOR to my things being loaded on the truck, which I was not, but later said that they base the additional charges on where the loaded stuff comes to in the truck because there are lines inside that indicate the actual volume. Can't have it both ways!! Can't say that they based the charges on how it loaded while also saying that they told me about those charges before the stuff was loaded. Yet, this is exactly the circular non-logic that this supposed "owner of the compan
